The Information and Education Division, ETOUSA published a series of "G.I. Stories" of the Ground, Air, and Service Forces in the European Theater of Operations. Each booklet was approximately 32 pages in length and small enough to fit in a uniform pocket and to conveniently mail home. Each booklet included a centerfold with a map of the divisions route or a photo montage. Inside the covers were a page for soldiers to record their personal information, and a page for autographs. Booklets were stamped, "Passed by censor for mailing home."

L'ETOUSA, Information and Education Division, a édité à la fin la guerre une série de livrets sous la désignation "G.I. Stories" retraçant l'historique des divisions qui ont servi sur le Théâtre des Opérations Européen (ETO). Chaque livret possède approximativement 32 pages. Il est de petit format de manière à pouvoir rentrer dans une poche d'uniforme ou être expédier facilement à la maison. Chaque livret a une page centrale avec une carte de l'itinéraire de la division ou un montage photo. À l'intérieur des couvertures se trouvent deux pages destinées à être remplies par le soldat, une pour les informations personnelles, l'autres pour les autographes. Les livrets expédiés aux Etats-Unis sont tamponnés avec la marque "Passed by censor for mailing home".

Sauf-conduit rédigé en anglais et en allemand et largué sur les lignes allemandes pour inciter les soldats à se rendre en échange d’un traitement suivant les lois internationales. Les tracts étaient, soit lâchés par avion, soit envoyés de l’autre côté du front à l’aide d’obusiers et de munitions fumigènes modifiées. Les anglais utilisèrent leurs 25 Livre Pounder alors que les américains des Howitzer de 105 et 155 mm. Les tracts remplacés la cartouche de gaz, roulés par liasse de 400. Une fois tirés, ils se dispersaient en vol  au-dessus des lignes ennemies. Les tracts projetés ainsi comportent souvent les bords supérieurs et inférieurs brûlés.
